Ask Lady Brain (part 2)

The Ask Lady Brain show was partly taped in advance and partly done live. So I couldn't listened to the original broadcast and I didn't know how much clowning around they'd do. So when I listened to the mp3 archive on their web site, I was somewhat disappointed. But fortunately, I have a few friends on who pointed out that amid all that clowning, Steph actually said some fairly nice things about the hypnosis session.

There are some positive take-aways--she felt deeply relaxed, like she'd gotten a massage, and though she said it wasn't her thing, she said it would be cool to have someone in your life who could do this for you every night. "Take you down," I think she said.

Given the kind of show it is, I'm not surprised that they busted around so much. But you got your message out there ... and your URL! That's something.

So maybe it was a good thing after all. Here's the link to the episode archive. You be the judge. It's the episode titled, Steph gets hypnotized.

Interview archives

Now that I've been interviewed on several radio shows, I thought I'd add a page to my site that links to the ones that are archived and still available on the internet.

New Release: Trance Junkie

I'm happy to announce the release of my latest recording, Trance Junkie.

In this story, you ask to interview a hypnotist about women becoming addicted to hypnosis. He introduces you to two women who have become addicted to his control and describes how he enslaved them. As you listen to this story, you fall into a trance and become vulnerable to the same suggestions. You begin to crave his hypnotic control so much that you accept commands that make you an obedient slave and allow yourself to be used sexually. Finally, he humiliates you forcing you to beg (in front of the guests at a party) for the privilege of being kept hypnotized.

On sale for the introductory price of $20 USD through Feb 21, 2011.

"Admit it. You hate Valentine’s Day"

Michigan - Daniel A, an author of intimate audio-stories has taken is protesting the message of Valentine's Day.

Those of us who are alone get tired of all the mushy sentimentalism that companies use to sell their products. Merchants bombard us with messages that say buy a gift for your loved ones, ignoring the impact of their message on the millions of people who choose to be alone.

Advertisements reinforce social pressures to pair off and get married. Society expects this of us, and any other lifestyle is seen as deviant or unacceptable. If you’re not in a relationship, you’re missing out. You’re a failure. You can’t even start to live until you have someone with whom to share your life.

But this cultural expectation is absurd. Finding potential companions and dating them is a lot of work, hard work. It rarely pays off. The failed efforts often leave people more frustrated or depressed than if they had accepted their single status. And it takes time and energy away from more productive endeavors.

Those of us who choose to (or need to) be single deserve some recognition. We especially deserve to treat ourselves like whole people, not someone with a missing better half that can’t be found.

So this Valentine’s Day, ignore all the stupid marketing messages from candy and jewelry merchants. Ignore the remarks from friends and family that you ‘have to find someone’. Accept yourself as you are and do something to celebrate your lifestyle. Treat yourself to a gift. Indulge in a solo pleasure.

Daniel, of course, is marking the occasion with special discounts on
his audio stories at, and an “I Hate Valentine's Day” Sale
appearance on the 'Breaking Taboo' radio show with Lakota Phillips on
4:00PM PST.

using an older computer for a few days

Primary computer in the shop for a few days. Not the hard drive problem I expected, but still don't know why it was over heating. I thought I'd be able to continue working on my sound files on my older computer, but apparently the older computer can't run the software I'd been using to edit the files. So Trance Junkie might be delayed a few days.

This older computer also doesn't have a wireless card. So I'll only be able to get online a few minutes per day.

Recorded Trance Junkie

I recorded two sessions of Trance Junkie today. Both sounded good in some places, but had problems in others. But I think between the two of them, I should be able to build a good quality recording. I'm aiming for a release date of Feb 14-15, 2005.

Erotic Hypnosis may help overcome sexual trauma

Another great review. This one from sexual health educator and founder of, Bianca Laurindo. Bianca brought a new perspective to her review.

I immediately saw how this provided another layer and source of pleasure for people with different abilities. Often many items are created for able-bodied people, rarely considering how people with different abilities may interact and enjoy the item. However, Hypnotic Dreams has created a product that can be utilized by people with various needs and seeking a somewhat “untraditional” experience.
I also saw this as having a value for folks who are in treatment or working with a health care provider for various topics that may come up in their sexual and reproductive health. Some of the audio stories I listened to may be useful for people who are attempting to overcome some level of trauma connected to their sexual health and/or experiencing pleasure. This feature is unique as not all “toys” or items for sexual pleasure can be utilized in such a way.

Bianca is not the first person to suggest that my erotic hypnosis recordings could benefit people suffering from sexual trauma. But because I'm not a licensed therapist, I have downplayed the idea. Now that a professional sexual health educator has suggested this, and put it in writing, maybe I can give the idea more consideration; maybe even market the recordings as therapeutic tools.
